HENBURY - IRON TYPE IIIAB, 30 kg

Stunning flight oriented Henbury iron meteorite. An incredibly aesthetically pleasing example. Heart shaped with flow lines and regmaglypts covering the entire surface. A beautiful patina of various shades of red, orange, brown and black, typical coloration for Henbury meteorites. Extremely rare to see a flight oriented Henbury of any size, let alone one that is 30 kg in size! Truly special.

This meteorite has outstanding provenance, having been in the collection of Robert Haag for many years. It can be found in his 2020 Meteorite Catalog on Page 9. It can also be found in his 1986 Meteorite Catalog. Prior to that, this meteorite was in the collection of the University of Arizona. Collection numbers can be seen on the reverse side.
