IMILAC - INDIVIDUAL, 344 g
Imilac is a very stable and beautiful pallasite. The strewn field has been searched countless times since being discovered and very few new pieces are now being found, certainly no larger pieces have been found in years. Due to its increasing scarcity and natural beauty, Imilac examples are much sought after by collectors. This individual displays amazingly beautiful yellow and orange olivine crystals on both sides. Natural desert patina from the Atacama desert in Chile is present as well. Provenance from the collection of Professor Gordon Walkden, Emeritus Professor of Geology at Aberdeen University, with collection tag for provenance and with original label.
