IMILAC - INDIVIDUAL, 195 g
Imilac is a very stable and beautiful pallasite. The strewn field has been searched countless times since being discovered and very few new pieces are now being found, certainly no larger pieces have been found in years. Due to its increasing scarcity and natural beauty, Imilac examples are much sought after by collectors.
This is an endcut showing the natural exterior on one side and a polished view of the interior on the other.
Provenance is from Robert Haag and this specimen appears in several of his meteorite catalogs, including the 2020 edition on Page 7.
